Writer of the month: Hunting for spies in The National Archives

In our first Writer of the Month talk, Times journalist Ben Macintyre discusses his latest book Double Cross: The True Story of the D-Day Spies (Bloomsbury, 2012) and how he turned his research into a published work.

Ben Macintyre is a columnist and Associate Editor on The Times. He has worked as the newspaper’s correspondent in New York, Paris and Washington. He is the author of nine books including Double Cross: The True Story of the D-Day Spies, Agent Zigzag, shortlisted for the Costa Biography Award and the Galaxy British Book Award for Biography of the Year 2008, and the number 1 bestseller Operation Mincemeat.
