Daduhubhai Patel: Personal memories of the expulsion

Forced to leave Uganda by Idi Amin’s army, Dadubhai brings a personal account, not of a rich Asian as many Ugandan Asians were assumed to be, but of an ordinary man desperation to escape with whatever he had.

This talk was recorded as part of a collaboration between The National Archives and The Exiles Project, marking 40 years since the expulsion of Asians from Uganda by Idi Amin.
