In this seminar, Seth van Hooland provides an introduction to machine learning techniques and explores their potential for probabilistic indexing of large archival holdings.

Seth van Hooland is an associate professor at Université libre de Bruxelles, where he leads the Masters in Information Science and is also vice head of the Information and Communication Science department. He has published two handbooks on metadata quality and digital humanities, and initiated the Free Your Metadata project.
